Middle Europe Travel 【Hungary】

Budapest became one of my favorite cities. It had such a unique atmosphere, and the night views were absolutely beautiful. I had no expectations before visiting, so the feeling of walking through the city and discovering its beauty was even more special.

The Hungarian people… more likely to be in a bad mood. When I called a lady at the supermarket checkout, she got really mad. Then later, when I tried to sit in a park and eat, a cleaning man came over and sprayed water with a hose. Why are they so angry…?

Hungary has a long and complicated history, influenced by many powers including the Roman Empire and the Ottoman Empire. While the country still has many beautiful historical buildings, modern Hungary also faces various challenges such as economic issues, immigration, and politics.

The symbol of Budapest, the Parliament Building, was completed in 1902, making it a relatively new building compared to the city’s long history. It combines many different architectural styles, including Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque, creating a unique and impressive structure.

Around the Parliament area, more and more grand buildings have been under the construction, showing a sense of national pride. But at the same time, seeing such luxurious architecture in a country that is not considered economically wealthy made me feel there was a hidden side to Hungary.

Still, Budapest was unbelievably beautiful. Walking through the city, suddenly a huge castle-like palace appeared in front of me, like something from a princess story. “Wow… it’s beautiful.” I stood among many Asian tourists taking selfies, wishing I had dressed up a little more stylishly to take photos with the castle. But even in simple clothes, it became one of my best travel memories.
